Q. How reliable is this test? Is it the same as a professional IQ assessment?
WIQS IQ Test is an intelligence quotient (IQ) measurement service designed to assess logical reasoning, numerical processing, spatial awareness, and processing speed by having you solve problems such as pattern recognition and figural reasoning within a given time limit. It is designed to minimize the influence of culture, language, age, educational background, gender, and color vision characteristics as much as possible. It is not a clinical diagnostic tool equivalent to an in-person assessment administered by a psychologist (such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale), but rather a reference indicator to help you understand your own tendencies in the abilities described above. Q. How is the IQ score calculated?
Your score is calculated based on the number of correct answers out of the 35 Official Test questions, compared against the score distribution of other test takers. As with most IQ tests, this is based on a normal distribution model with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. As more people take the test, the accuracy of this distribution model continues to improve.
Q. When will I receive my Official Test results?
Official Test results are sent by email to the address you registered, after analysis based on a sufficient number of sample data points to ensure an accurate IQ score. Because gathering the necessary sample size may take time, there may be a delay before results are sent. Thank you for your understanding.
Q. What is the difference between the Pretest and the Official Test?
The Pretest is a simplified 5-question version that you can try immediately without entering any personal information. It allows you to familiarize yourself with the question format and answering method.
The Official Test is the full 35-question version that provides a precise IQ measurement. Taking the Official Test requires entering information such as your email address so we can send you your results.
Q. Is the Official Test really free?
It is currently available free of charge during our service period. Should the service become a paid offering in the future, we will provide advance notice on the site and clearly specify the fees and payment methods. Please see our Terms of Service for details.
Q. Why do I need to verify my email address (enter a confirmation code)?
This is to confirm that the email address you entered actually belongs to you, so we can reliably deliver your results. A confirmation code is emailed to you immediately after you complete the test; please enter it on the results screen.
Q. Can I take the Official Test more than once?
You may retake the Official Test with the same email address one week after your previous attempt. This limit exists to prevent scores from being skewed by practice effects and to preserve measurement accuracy. There is no limit on how many times you can take the Pretest.
Q. How is my personal information handled?
Information you provide is used only for calculating your test results, contacting you, and improving our service, and is never shared with third parties except as required by law. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
Q. Is there a time limit?
The Official Test has a 25-minute time limit, starting from when the first question is displayed. You will automatically proceed to the results screen once the time limit has elapsed or you have answered all questions. Questions are presented in order from easiest to hardest, and you cannot skip questions or go back to a previous one.
